Outdoor Programmers
2011

Spring
contract dates are 22 April 2011 to 25 August 2011.
Outdoor Programmers deliver educational and recreational programmers
designed to enhance each participant's respect for self, others
and the environment. In addition to programme delivery, Outdoor
Programmers assist in programme maintenance, administration and
development.
Minimum qualifications are:
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR
• Experience leading residential camping and/ or outdoor
education programmes
• Ability to teach introductory lessons in Leadership Development,
Environmental Education, and Outdoor Pursuits
• Comfortable working in a high angle environment on our
Challenge Course (i.e. climbing wall, high ropes course)
• Onsite residence is a requirement of this position
• Other certifications are an asset.
Various length and concurrent contracts are also available.

Cook
Is responsible for the food services operations.
Position
Duties Include:
• Prepare and serve meals (all our meals are served family
style)
• Maintain high standards for a sanitary work environment
• Ensure food service standards of excellence is maintained
and accommodate all manner of food allergies and dietary requests
Qualifications Required:
• Experience in institutional food services is an asset
• Food safety course, or willingness to obtain
• A clear criminal record check and Intervention record
check (from Alberta Children's Services)

Summer Positions 2011
We
will begin accepting resumes for Summer 2011 Staff in Feb 2011.
Summer
contract dates are 26 June 2011 to 25 August 2011.
Counselors
Counselors are responsible for providing a safe, fun and educational
nature oriented camp experience for an assigned camper group.
Minimum qualifications are:
• 18 years of age by the commencement of camp programme
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR
• Programme delivery experience in an outdoor residential
setting
• Other certifications are an asset
• Onsite residence is a requirement of this position

Assistant Counselors
Assistant Counselors work with the guidance of Counselors to contribute
a safe, fun and education nature oriented camp experience for
an assigned camper group.
Minimum qualifications are:
• 16 years of age by the commencement of camp programme
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR
• Knowledge of / experience in programming in an outdoor
residential environment
• Other certifications are an asset
• Onsite residence is a requirement of this position

Regardless of What Position you are interested
in...
All programme staff members are required to live on site, accordingly
room and partial board are provided. Due to the residential nature
of the centre actual hours of work vary, however, programme hours
are from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm. All positions work under the direction
and guidance of the Programme Coordinator or the Programme Technician.
All positions are required to submit a clear criminal record check
as well as a clear Intevention record check from Alberta Children's
services.
