“I’m a single mom who has a young boy who has attended Yowochas Summer Camp for 2 years now and we’re hoping to get approved for another year of subsidy. This program is so important to us. Being a mom, I know my son needs male interaction and social skills, which he gains at Yowochas. Without subsidy I would not be able to do this on my own! This Camp means EVERYTHING to my son and he looks forward to it every year. Each year I see more growth in my son, he’s becoming a person with Independence, team building skills and overall peace in his eyes, and as his mom this means the world to me.”

She loves the camp counsellors and talks about her experience year round, she is so excited about every summer, just knowing that camp is a part of the summer break. For myself as a single grandparent raising her, this is an important part of allowing her the time for a break from routine.
